CHICAGO

CareerBuilder.com, the nation's largest online job site, was presented with a Stevie Award in the category of Customer Service Team of the Year in the second annual Selling Power Sales Excellence Awards.

The awards were jointly presented by Selling Power magazine, the leading sales management publication with 145,000 subscribers in 67 countries, and The Stevie(R) Awards, which have been hailed as "the business world's own Oscars" (the New York Post, April 27, 2005).

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word "crowned," winners were announced during a gala banquet at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

More than 400 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories this year, including Best Run Sales Organization of the Year, National VP of Sales of the Year and Sales Training Program of the Year.

Servicing a base of more than 22 million unique visitors and more than 300,000 employers, CareerBuilder.com won in the category of Customer Service Team of the Year. In addition to supporting a company experiencing rapid growth in the U.S., CareerBuilder.com's Customer Care team effectively expanded their efforts on a global scale as the company moved into international markets. Communicating with customers in several languages, better educating customers on optimal use of products and enhancing customer resolution times are among the initiatives that helped CareerBuilder.com take top honors.

"What makes CareerBuilder.com's Customer Care team successful is our commitment to accessibility and resolution," said Michael Hargis, Vice President of Customer Care at CareerBuilder.com. "We make it easy for customers to reach a live voice and we work hand-in-hand with other departments to ensure the customer's needs are met. We are honored to receive this accolade in the company of other world class organizations and share this win with our entire organization."

Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs selected Stevie Award winners from among the Finalists. Finalists were chosen by business professionals worldwide during preliminary judging.
