Workers Answer "Which Holiday Movie Character Most Reminds You of Your Boss?" in New CareerBuilder Survey

CHICAGO, Dec. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Classic holiday movies feature some of the most beloved heroes and villains ever to grace the silver screen. While most characters are larger than life, their distinct traits and values, for better or worse, are found around us every day at the workplace. A new CareerBuilder survey – conducted between August 16 and September 8, 2011, by Harris Interactive©– asked more than 4,500 workers which holiday movie legend most reminded them of their bosses.

Which holiday movie character most reminds you of your boss?

Respondents reported the following:

George Bailey from "It's a Wonderful Life"– 19 percent

 

Well-liked, always willing to help others.

 

 

2.

Rudolph from "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer"– 14 percent

 

Can navigate successfully through tough situations.

Willie, the main character from "Bad Santa"– 10 percent

 

Rough around the edges but not a bad person deep down.

 

 

4.

Ralphie from "A Christmas Story"– 8 percent

 

Stays focused on one goal and thinks about nothing else.

Survey Methodology
This survey was conducted online within the U.S. by Harris Interactive© on behalf of CareerBuilder among 4,721 U.S. workers (employed full-time, not self-employed, government and non-government) between August 16 and September 8, 2011 (percentages for some questions are based on a subset, based on their responses to certain questions). With a pure probability sample of 4,721, one could say with a 95 percent probability that the overall results have a sampling error of +/- 1.43 percentage points. Sampling error for data from sub-samples is higher and varies.
