Sologig.com Lists Top Information Technology Jobs for 2015
-Information Security Analysts Lead Job-Growth Projections

CHICAGO, December 9, 2014 – December marked another year of strong growth for information technology employment. An estimated 95,000 new IT jobs will be added through the end of 2014, at an average of 8,000 per month. According to a new list from Sologig.com – CareerBuilder’s job site for tech professionals –2015 promises to be just as promising for job seekers in IT.*

“The information technology sector can expect healthy headcount expansion next year,” said Rob Morris, director of Sologig.com. “However, many of the fastest growing occupations are the very ones recruiters are already having a hard time finding candidates to fill existing positions. As companies’ tech needs grow and as competition for top talent heats up, we expect starting compensation to continue its climb for the most qualified tech professionals.”

The U.S. workforce is projected to grow by 1.2 percent in 2015; however, the seven IT occupations listed below are projected to grow at twice that rate, amounting to more than 70,000 new jobs. Each pays more than $20 in median hourly earnings, and four pay more than $40 per hour. Information security analysts – charged with protecting organizations’ computer networks – leads all projected growth figures at 4.3 percent.
